This lesson is from Animate CC For Everyone, my online course for absolute beginners. 

I’ll show you how to set up a motion guide so that you can animate along any stroke that you draw. Once you learn this technique you can break free of only animating things top to bottom and left to right:)

Just like the full course, this tutorial contains:

  1. A video lecture where I demonstrate how to set up a motion guide and provide a bunch of tips along the way.
  2. A video of just the instructions.
  3. Written instructions (pdf).
  4. A starter file so that you can follow the instructions and build the project yourself.
  5. A finished file so that you can see exactly how it should look when everything is done properly.
